JoyRyde app for iPhone and iPad

JoyRyde is a reward-based mobile application that prevents people from using their mobile devices while driving. The app keeps track of how far one has traveled without using their phone. Once JoyRyde is closed, the tracking via GPS discontinues as well. You have a bank with all your miles that you can use to buy digital coupons for an assortment of things…from discounts on food and gas, all the way to charity donations.

The steps to earn your safe miles are as follows:

1.Before turning on your vehicle open JoyRyde and begin your rewarding ride by pressing the “Start Ryde” button on your smartphone.
2. The tracking will begin once you travel over 15 miles per hour and will only track if you are on the JoyRyde screen. The phone will then recognize your location using GPS and track how far you have traveled without using your phone.
3. If someone leaves the JoyRyde screen, for example to answer a phone call or to text someone, the tracking will pause and the user will receive a strike. The user has 3 strikes. It is important to note that if you are not on the JoyRyde screen you do not receive any miles.
4. It is also important to note that passive apps, such as GPS, music, and bluetooth calls can still be on while using the JoyRyde app.
5. Once a Ryde is finished, one will not be able to start another for a certain period of time, which will depend on how many strikes the user received while driving.
6. Once one collects enough points, various rewards can be purchased from our bank!
